Town of Dauphin Islands New West End Beach Opens
to the public June 21st. A professional sand sculptor will hold a
workshop beginning at 10am. After the workshop he will sculpt Sand
Island Lighthouse on the beach. There will be an amateur sand
sculpting contest with prizes, judging will be at 5pm. |

Blood Drive at the Dauphin Island Sea Lab from
11am until 4 pm at Galathea Hall |
| July 5 |
Fireworks Display. Due to a scheduling
problem the Town of Dauphin Island has announced that the July 4th
fireworks display will take place this year on July 5th at 9pm. The
display will be fired off from the beachfront area east of the Dauphin
Island Fishing Pier and should be visible from all along the gulf front
beach. |
